One of the strengths of SL is the ability to create up to 8 reports which can be launched from any SL report. Typically we select the report you want to run from the Report tab under the report format field:
If you find that you are often overriding or changing the report id which is shown at the top of this list, there is an easy fix to allow you to change the order that the items are listed in this combo box.
This tip goes across all reports in SL. Find the screen Report Control Maintenance.
In versions prior to SL 7.x, the report control maintenance screen is located off the main menu; under the Utility dropdown. For version Sl7.x this report maintenance is located under the administration menu. In both cases it is recommended you sign into SL as the sysadmin user, so you are guaranteed to have access to this report.
Once in the menu, you just need to retype the combo box name (report format name) in column one and its corresponding crystal report number, and the order you type will be the order that appears in the drop down list.
I suspect this tip will be helpful especially for the Sl reports which are used to print ap checks and pr checks. Another set of reports might be the aging reports in AR and AP.
